We're not really safe

I don't think airport security is as comprehensive as it should be. As I made my way onto the plane my ID was checked a number of times, and I had to put my toothpaste into a freezer bag. They do that x-ray thing and then make me walk through a metal detector. But...... as I left the airplane, no one bothered to check my ID or scan my bags. What if I changed my identity on the plane? It's possible. And what if I assembled a bomb on the plane? Shouldn't that be detected? What if I made a bomb on the plane, with plans to detonate it in the cab on the way to the hotel? Apparently the FAA and the TSA don't care about cab drivers.
