People like to stop and say "Mmmm, that smells good" when they walk by my office as I'm eating lunch. Well you know what? It does smell good, and it tastes good too. Now leave me alone. First of all, I have food in my mouth, so I can't respond to your banal comment. Secondly, it's a Stouffer's lasagna that I defrosted and put in the microwave. Maybe you should call Stouffer's and extend your compliment to them. Thirdly, the fact that I'm eating in my office and not the breakroom means that don't wish to socialize with you as I put food in my gullet.
Listen, I'm going to eat food in my office. The food is going to go down my throat into my stomach. From there it will provide nourishment that will keep my body running. Don't make a big deal out of it. You want to have a little bit of chit-chat, great, let's talk about the weather.

I don't care about Stouffer's lasagna, I don't care about how you eat your #1 lunch, #2 lunch, or late afternoon breakfast snack. Maybe some people just want a purpose beyond their stinkin' cubicles and face it...you've got a private office, nuff said!
i think you all need to shut up, my lasagna is getting cold.
personally i don't think anyone cares...if you need privacy to romance your food, put a "do not disturb" on your private office door and stuff your face alone in sullen silence.
