Yesterday I skied in North Carolina for the first time. Not quite what I expected. There was fresh snow on the ground and they were making snow (little ice crunchies) all day. It was freezing cold. I went on a good day apparently. It tends to get slushy from what I understand. There was indeed the forewarned "sheet o' ice" under the snow, but the fresh stuff was enough to have a pretty good ride. The runs took 4 seconds to complete however, and it was definitely amateur night on the slopes, so I spent three of those four seconds dodging fallen skiers and snowboarders. If I state that it's pathetic in comparison to Colorado, I wonder if that makes me look cool, or conceited. I'm fine with either. The "resort" is small , and I'm not sure why they even made a trail map. But here it is.

Did you drive four and a half hours to get there?
you can say its pathetic. you'll still sound conceited but what's new? (truly east coast has nothing on CO snow)
