I don’t know why I buy more than one banana at a time. I’m pretty sure the four bananas in my kitchen have colonies of mass fungal spores, conidia, produced from flask-shaped cells, phialides, that arise from multiply-branched clusters of short hyphae all over them.

conidia? hyphae? I have no idea what your bananas are doing, but I will have no part in it!
you could always start freezing the ones you don't eat, might minimize your conidia colonies but at least it would make a great smoothie.
