On the Road

This morning I got up before the sun, made some coffee, and sat in the hottub to read On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I've just started the book. If you know about the book or know about Jack's life, you'll see that I'm approaching the reading of this book in the right mindset by getting up before the sun, stripping in the backyard, and drinking a robust coffee. I think I might step it up a little this weekend by taking some hallucinogenics and hopping aboard an empty railroad car. Like I said, I've just started reading the book, so I don't know if there are any hobo train rides in it, but I'm fairly certain there is some illegal narcotics action in the mix. Anyway, tonight I'm going to gather up my books by Nietzsche and my books on poetry and find a good place to hop aboard a train. Maybe the train will stop at places where I can buy some drugs, I really don't know how to acquire them. I'm not as street smart as some might think I am. I'm not a street idiot, mind you. I mean, I can secure the services of a prostitute, buy handguns with the serial numbers filed off, stuff like that... but the really good drugs, I don't know where you get those.
